Information from Guangzhou Zhono Microelectronics Co., Ltd. 18.03.2024
Zhono Releases Patented
Chip Solution for Ricoh Copiers
Remanufacturing factories in Europe and the Americas act as advocates and
pioneers in global low-carbon, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly
initiatives. These companies, dedicated to the office equipment industry,
engage in the recycling of OEM cartridges and remanufacturing of the exhausted
OEM cartridges for reuse. Chips remain an indispensable core component in this
cartridge recycling process.
As an independent chip supplier, Zhono understands the differences in
intellectual property rights systems, legal developments, judicial biases, and
other issues in various countries. And Zhono provides flexible solutions to
reduce or eliminate the risk of patent infringement and help industries and
customers respond to the challenges of intellectual property rights.
Zhono Highly Values
Intellectual Property Rights
Zhono has always highly valued the intellectual property rights of
OEMs. Since 2019, our teams in IP, Engineering, Product, and R&D have
devoted countless hours to discussing, researching, and designing patented chip
solution for Ricoh copiers. To ensure that our chip solutions meet the key
requirements of global remanufacturing factories, Zhono’s team has revised more
than ten versions of our chip solutions. By the end of 2023, the 12th version
of our chip solution for Ricoh copiers had passed the verification test.
Through our innovative elastic contact design, this solution not only meets the
requirements of the connection between chip contacts and the internal printer
connection, but also reduces the risk of infringing upon OEM patents.
Currently, our chip solution has obtained significant certification from a
third-party organization in Japan.
Connection
between OEM Chip Contacts and Printer Internal
Connection
between Zhono Patented Chip and Printer Internal
Features
of Zhono patented chip solution for Ricoh copiers:
1. Innovative design of "C"-shaped elastic contact
The shape and material of the newly designed "C"-shaped
elastic contact on the chip allows the elastic contact to have a non-rigid
contact with the internal contacts of the printer. This ensures a better
contact between the chip's elastic contact and the internal contacts of the machine,
while also providing a high fault tolerance in the contact, thereby
significantly reducing the probability of the damage to the internal contacts
of the machine.
2. The memory (IC) and the chip holder are arranged in a staggered
layout.
This design effectively prevents the contacts of the holder from
accidentally touching the memory (IC) on the chip, thereby significantly
reducing the risk of the memory (IC) being damaged.
3.
The chip solution supports OEM cartridges and is environmentally friendly.
This chip can be used
on OEM cartridges. Zhono has conducted on-machine tests with different
printers, including Ricoh MPC3500, MPC5500, MPC3000, MPC4500, MPC2500, IMC2500,
IMC3000, and IMC2510 series. Zhono has also compared our patented chip with
other compatible chips on the market and found no issues with our chip. Our
customers can be assured of the quality of our chip solution.
In the future, we will
continue to increase our investment in intellectual property matters to reduce
intellectual property risks and better serve our partners in China and
abroad. As of December 2023, multiple chips from Zhono are already equipped
with intellectual property rights, including the Brother 770 series. If you
have a need for patented products, please feel free to contact us.

Progeasy 3.0: Introducing A Beneficial
Experience with Our Intelligent, Wireless Resetter
Our new Progeasy 3.0 resetter revolutionizes the
traditional approach to resetting and reprograming chips helping your business
thrive in this new era.
In our current digital age, the
convenience and flexibility of resetters are crucial for every industry,
including recycling factories, machine rental companies, trading businesses,
and more. However, traditional resetters, ones that rely on wired connections
with limited operation distances, are not suitable for current enterprises due
to constraints in different workplace configurations. Multiple production lines
demand simultaneous resets, requiring numerous resetters, which are often
inferior, that lead to higher costs and a substandard experience. These
resetters are often ill-suited for current tech expectations, offering smaller
screens, lower configurations, and a weaker user interface experience. To
provide a more intelligent, tech savvy, and effortless resetting experience,
Zhono has released the latest generation of resetter, the Progeasy 3.0. The

How to Solve an Issue on Fuji
Xerox C2550/3550 printer?
Background
Fuji Xerox launched new printers
DocuPrint C2550d and C3550d in May 2020. However, white bands appearing on
printed sheets along the process direction (Figure 1) would be caused by operating
the printer inappropriately.
Figure 1
Zhono Solution
Generally, white bands appearing on
printed sheets is caused by components with damages and streaks in theimaging
unit. It is recommended to check the OPC drum and developer rollers first, and
then check other components.
Check the OPC drums and developer
rollers
Remove the OPC drums from the
machine and have a look at the developerrollers (Figure 2). Anyminor damages or
streaks on the roller surfaces can cause white bands appearing on printed
sheets.
Figure 2
The reasons of developer roller
surfaces being damaged or with streaks are that the developer roller surfaces
was dirty and was not cleaned in time.
Notes: there are 3 possible reasons
cause the developer rollers dirty.
1. Dust or dirty enter the toner
refilling port
Generally, dust or dirty enter the
toner refilling port via the connection place between the refilling portand
the waste toner port in the cartridge. Cleaning the area is important (Figure
3).
Figure 3
2. Remove and install cartridges
frequently
The sponge around the toner
refilling port (Figure 4) is worn out by removing and installing the cartridge
in the printer frequently. The damaged sponge fragments dirty the developer
rollers.
Figure 4
3. Refill used cartridges improperly
Refillingused cartridges improperly
causes that dirty or dust drop on the developer rollers.

How to
Avoid Cartridges Stucking on Xerox Printer?
Background
Most
Xerox printers connect the cartridge chip through the contacts in the printer.
The cartridge chip groove (Figure 1) may be stuck in the printer if the
cartridge chip is not inserted.
Forcibly pulling the cartridge may damage parts, such
as deformation, off position, or fracture, as shown in
Figure 2.
Figure 1
Figure 2
Zhono Solution
Step 1: find a
piece of film or plastic (Figure 3) that is
thinner than a credit card and slightly wider than the chip.
Figure 3
Step 2: insert
and push the film or plastic to the connecting point (Figure 4) between the
contacts in the printer and the cartridge chip groove, and then remove the
cartridge.
Figure 4
The
contacts in the printer may deform after using for a long time. Some compatible chips for Xerox developed and manufactured by Zhono
with lengthened contacts (Figure 5) to ensure communication between the printer
and the cartridge chip works well.

series printers and MFPs, after resetting factory settings, they cannot login
using the administrator mode with the initial default password (Example: “Account: admin Password: 1111”; or, “Account: 11111 Password: x-admin”).
Zhono
Solution
Take the Xerox WorkCentre 6515 as an
example, where the solution steps are listed as follows: Step 1: Click the ‘Setting’ icon on Home Interface, and then
click the ‘Admin’ icon (Figure 1).
Figure 1
Step 2: Enter the printer serial number as a password (Figure
2). Make sure to enter the entire serial number which is on the
printer nameplate on the rear cover (Figure 3) and printed in the Configuration
Report. Serial numbers are case sensitive.
Figure 2
Figure 3
Note: The administrator password can be changed after entering
the administrator mode.
