BUSINESS-INFORM Announces the Beginning of the Second Stage of the

 ‘Open Quality Printing Contest’

Moscow, October 21, 2019. – The Information Agency “Business-Inform” (Russia) announced the beginning of the Second Stage of the International ‘Open Quality Printing Contest’ (the Second Stage: The Evaluation of Cartridge Printing Quality).

The Second Stage of the ‘Open Quality Printing Contest’, dedicated to evaluating the quality of compatible cartridge printing is being performed by the Russian Information Agency “Business-Inform” during the period between October 21, 2019 and January 20, 2020. This stage is going to be dedicated to evaluating all aspects of cartridge printing quality taking into consideration the resource and the dynamics of the quality of printouts made by this cartridge (from the first to the last). The expertise will be performed according to the Russian Method of Standardized Testing, LEM 2.01.19, certified in Russia(registration # РОССRU. 32155.04ЛЭМ0). The object of the study during the Second Stage is set to be HP CF226X cartridge (yield – 9000 А4 pages).

The winners and nominees of the First Stage are invited to take part as well as any other brands (on pay terms). All wishing to participate in the Second Stage of the Contest must inform the organizer before November 15 and present test-sample of the cartridge HP CF226X (yield – 9000 А4 pages) until November 30, 2019.

The summarizing of the results and announcement of winners will take place on 25-28 of January 2020, and during January 29-31 all the participants will receive protocol with the expertize results for their cartridges, as well as protocols for winner-cartridges.

The organizers of the Second Stage of the International ‘Open Quality Printing Contest’ are paying attention of the participants to the fact that it is the Russian method of testing LEM 2.01.19 has been certified in Russia and is being basic and the only legal method for certifying both remanufactured and/or new-build compatible laser cartridges for the quality mark of operational office printing LEM.

BUSINESS-INFORM Declared the Winners of ‘Open Quality Printing Contest’

Zhuhai, October 18, 2019. – Information Agency “Business-Inform” (Russia) declared the winning brands of ‘Open Quality Printing Contest’ (Stage 1: Evaluation of Prints Quality). The following brands are declared winners: Dataproducts (Clover,USA), G&G (NineStar, China), Retech (Retech Tech., China), Tonex (Tonex, Russia).

The First Stage of the ‘Open Quality Printing Contest’, dedicated to evaluation of the quality of printouts done with the use of compatible cartridges was organized and performed by the Russian Information Agency “Business-Inform” during the period between July 01 and September 30, 2019. Accepted for participation were printouts made using both remanufactured and/or new-build compatible cartridges. The evaluation of quality has been performed according to the Russian method of standardized testing LEM 1.01.19, certified in Russia (registration # РОСС RU. 32155.04ЛЭМ0) and recommended by AQCMS (The Association of Quality Cartridge Manufacturers and Suppliers) for performing comparative research on Russian territory.

37 brands took part in the First Stage of the Contest. Each brand presented printouts for testing which were done using 10 cartridges for laser printing considered to be the most popular in Russia (3 printouts for each cartridge, 30 printouts total for each brand). After performing the expertise 16 nominee-brands have been chosen (criterion – minimal general amount of defects in the set of printouts presented). The nominees of the First Stage were: MSE, Dataproducts, freecolor, Static Control, Kodak, Integral, G&G, Retech, Solnce, HYB, Cactus, Profiline, UniTon, Hi-Black, 7Q, Tonex.

The additional expertise of printouts presented by the nominee-brands has allowed us to determine the winners of the First Stage of ‘Open Quality Printing Contest’ (criterion – the number of printouts presented by a brand with zero defects detected). The winners have been: Dataproducts (Clover, USA), G&G (NineStar, China), Retech (Retech Tech., China), Tonex (Tonex, Russia).

On October 18, 2019, during RemaxWorld Summit 2019 (China, Zhuhai) there took place a ceremony of awarding winners and nominees of the ‘Open Quality Printing Contest’. The nominees were awarded with Diplomas, and winners with Winner-Prizes and Diplomas.

AQCMS Stresses the Attention of Its Members

on the Issues of Remanufacturing (Recycling) Industry

Moscow, October 04, 2019 – Members of Russian Association of Quality Consumables Manufacturers and Suppliers (AQCMS) have discussed the situation on the Russian market of office equipment supplies and analyzed the difficulties and barriers faced by the Russian industry of remanufacturing OEM and compatible cartridges, supplied on the Russian market. They expressed their concern about absence of legal and protection policies in Russia regarding the support of Russian companies engaged in remanufacturing (second use) of products. It was noted that at the same time as the governments of all developed countries are trying to provide their maximum support to the industry of remanufacturing (second use) of products, in Russia the industry of remanufacturing of OEM and compatible cartridges nit only lacks the state support, but is also legally limited in terms of supplying its products to the large state and commercial organizations.

Taking into consideration the importance of the issue of developing the industry of remanufacturing the OEM and compatible cartridges in Russia, the AQCMS made a decision to create the Expert Council on the Issues of Remanufacturing (Recycling) Industry. Sergei Kuzin (Bulat Group) was appointed the head of the Expert Council.
